The ceremonial tapping of the foundation stone was also attended by Patrik Schumacher, Zaha Hadid Architects Partner, who, after the Zaha Hadid´s death, took over the helm of one of the most famous and greatest architectural studios in the world. As early as in 2010 this studio won an international competition and prepared a comprehensive architectural design of the project in the centre of Bratislava.

Thanks to the organic architecture of the SKY PARK project, which combines generous space for living and public space, a brand new and dynamic community will be created in Bratislava, near its downtown. The project will also open the former industrial zone to the public – thanks to the creation of a new city park that will link Bratislava´s historical heritage to contemporary culture and new natural elements,” says Patrik Schumacher, Zaha Hadid Architects Partner.

World-class architecture in Bratislava

A part of the SKY PARK project will also be a new city park with an area of more than 20,000 square metres, open to all the inhabitants of Bratislava. At the same time, the facade of Jurkovičova teplárna (Jurkovič Heating Plant), which is a national cultural monument, will be reconstructed in Phase 1 of the project.

SKY PARK is currently one of the most important Penta projects, and this not only because of the size of the investment, but also because of the overall importance it represents for our capital. With its concept and solution of public space, it will bring real world-class architecture to Bratislava,” says Jozef Oravkin, Penta Investments Partner.

In Phase 2 of the SKY PARK project, Penta counts on two office buildings, one of which already has a building permit.
