Penta Real Estate continues to develop the Bory district and is preparing additional projects that will broaden its civic amenities and reinforce its character as a fully fledged urban district. Following several phases of the Bory Bývanie residential project, Bory Hospital, the Bory Mall shopping and entertainment centre, and a growing network of public spaces, the area will gain new job opportunities, healthcare services and everyday amenities.
In recent years, the Bory Bývanie project has become the foundation of a new urban district between Lamač and Devínska Nová Ves. Further residential projects currently in preparation are gradually following on from the completed and ongoing phases. As the number of residents grows, so does the need for accessible services, job opportunities, healthcare, high-quality public spaces and good transport connections.
The Bory district is thus gradually transforming from a development area into one of Bratislava’s most significant new urban districts. It is already home to Bory Hospital, the Bory Mall shopping and entertainment centre, a kindergarten, sports infrastructure and a range of other services. The projects currently in preparation will gradually add the functions required for the everyday operation of a modern and sustainable urban district.
One of these projects is the Bory Office Space administrative building, which will expand the range of job opportunities available directly within the district. The ten-storey building will provide approximately 7,800 m² of office space, complemented by services, a food and beverage outlet, and additional amenities on the ground floor. The building will be located in the central part of the Bory district, close to Bory Hospital and the residential developments. Its purpose is to support the district’s functional diversity and complement its residential, healthcare and retail facilities with another important component of urban life.
A new mixed-use building will expand the range of healthcare and other services. The six-storey building will combine several functions that respond naturally to the needs of the growing urban district. The project will include a dental clinic, office space, short-term accommodation, a restaurant and other services for both residents and visitors.
Everyday amenities will also be enhanced by a new retail centre, whose anchor tenant will be one of Europe’s largest grocery retailers. The project will be developed on a site covering more than 11,000 m² near the Bory district’s existing retail zone. In addition to the grocery retailer, it will offer further retail outlets and services. The design will also incorporate new greenery, cycling infrastructure, public spaces and pedestrian connections, contributing to the improved functioning and quality of this part of the district.
All three projects currently in preparation build on the Bory district’s residential development to date. While the individual phases of the Bory Bývanie project bring new residents to the area and form the foundation of a growing community, the new office space, healthcare facilities and retail outlets will provide the infrastructure needed for everyday life.
Development of the Bory district will continue in the coming years through new residential phases, civic amenity projects, public spaces and transport infrastructure. This will gradually create an urban environment that naturally integrates housing, employment, healthcare, services, leisure activities and high-quality public space.
