From the start, we were motivated by the fact that Penta Real Estate, as a client, expects quality above all else, which was also confirmed by their previous project, Sky Park. Nonetheless, it was crucial for us to approach the Southbank project in a completely different manner, even though these two districts will be less than a kilometer apart.
Our collaboration with Penta Real Estate is driven to success by a mutual dedication to bringing out the best in every project and building a better city. The people at Penta Real Estate are professional, passionate, and always looking for improvements.
From the beginning, we knew that it would be a highly competitive field and a very aspirational client who expects nothing but the very best project. That is why we decided to approach the assignment with a compelling, multilayered concept and the utmost attention to place specific detail.
In my experience, a successful project requires teamwork between the investor and the architect. I have witnessed firsthand on the Churchill I and II projects, as well as on the Victoria Palace project, that effective teamwork and mutual trust helped us overcome many challenging situations. I appreciate that over the past 20 years, we have had the opportunity to create numerous office and residential buildings with the Penta Real Estate team.
I personally consider our collaboration with Penta Real Estate one of the most professional experiences our studio has ever had. The Residence Nuselský Pivovar project has always been closely tied to our approach of blending the old with the new. We are undergoing a significant revitalization of the area, bringing a decaying brownfield back to life. Our colleagues from CMC Architects took part in revitalizing the historic brewery complex.
We knew from the beginning that the reconstruction of Jurkovič's heating plant would be an exceptional building, and its design and implementation only confirmed the high professionalism of all involved.
Hats off to the way the investor has behaved. It can be an example for others. The time has come when many developers have understood that it makes no sense to demolish everything old and that it has a great added value after all. In Egypt they have pyramids, we have the Jurkovič thermal power plant.
