A city is shaped by more than just its buildings, streets, and public spaces. Its character is also defined by the small everyday moments we often take for granted. The sound of a bicycle on the morning commute, the buzz of a café, the clink of a spoon against a coffee cup, or the steady rhythm of traffic lights. These details became the foundation of “Tuned to the City”, the campaign through which Penta Real Estate introduces the first residential phase of Chalupkova, designed by the world-renowned Italian studio Stefano Boeri Architetti.
Instead of a traditional project launch, Penta Real Estate created the soundtrack of Bratislava’s downtown, captured on a limited-edition vinyl record. It is the first developer-produced vinyl release in Slovakia and serves as an original way of presenting the project while naturally extending Chalupkova’s core concept – “In Harmony with the City”. The soundtrack will also be available to the public on Spotify.
The campaign is built around the idea of the city as a living organism. Today, Bratislava’s downtown is one of the fastest-transforming parts of the city, and its energy, rhythm, and everyday life became the main source of inspiration. The recording incorporates sounds that are authentic and characteristic of the area, creating a sonic portrait of the place where Chalupkova will take shape in the years to come.
The project itself is located on Chalupkova Street in Bratislava’s new downtown. Designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti, it transforms a long-neglected urban site into a residential destination focused on quality public space, greenery, and everyday city living. A defining feature of the design is its expansive park-like courtyard, green terraces, and the integration of architecture with nature, a hallmark of the studio’s work.
The first residential phase will bring 148 apartments ranging from compact urban homes to spacious residences. The development will feature terraces with integrated greenery, community spaces, retail on the ground floor, and technologies designed to enhance living comfort. The ambition is to create an environment that combines the advantages of living in the city centre with direct access to greenery and high-quality public space.
The limited-edition vinyl record also references the architecture of the project itself. Its blue colour reflects the distinctive ceramic façade of Chalupkova, connecting the communication concept with the future identity of the development. The vinyl becomes a collector’s item that captures the atmosphere of the place and symbolises the idea that a city can be experienced not only through sight, but also through sound.
With the launch of the downtown soundtrack, Chalupkova enters a new stage of its development. Before becoming a new address for future residents, it begins by telling a story about the city, its rhythm, and its atmosphere. A story about the details that make urban life unique and give a place its true character.
