Participation of the Masaryk Station

Back

The surroundings of the Masaryk Station (Masarykovo nádraží or “Masaryčka” in colloquial Czech) will undergo a major change in the years to come. An administrative district with shops and restaurants, a walk-in park, a renovated railway station: the revitalization project, designed by world-famous architect Zaha Hadid for Penta and especially for the citizens of Prague, will bring about all these elements. Within the revitalization, the history of the area and the real needs of the city are respected to a maximum extent. Public opinion is very important for the project itself too. Penta Real Estate therefore pays great attention to the communication with the public; they could directly affect the appearance of the public space and also the composition of the retail space in the first building of the project, which Penta intends to start building at the end of next year. In the week from October 22 to October 26, 2018, Prague citizens had the opportunity to discuss the future appearance of the long-neglected brownfield with Jakub Klaška, architect of the London-based Zaha Hadid Architects studio, as well as with the representatives of the Jakub Cigler Architects studio, which is in charge of the implementation phase of the project. Visitors could record their comments on a prepared form and they were also able to give their opinions through the  www.masaryckaspojuje.cz website.
