Ceremonial topping out at Churchill

In summer 2018, a mark of the highest point of the building (“glajcha” in Czech) was officially erected above the skeleton of the first Churchill project at the Main Station (Hlavní nádraží) in Prague. The compound is being built by Penta in cooperation with SUDOP; Penta is constructing two administrative buildings, SUDOP a residential one. The complex is situated in one of Prague's most spectacular places, with unique views of the city skyline, Petřín and the Prague Castle. The project will help to improve the current infrastructure by helping to link the site to the Main Station and Prague 1. A walkway underneath the rails will access a wide staircase leading to the central piazza (square) between the Churchill project buildings. In particular, the residents of Prague 3 and the students of the University of Economics (VŠE), which is separated from the project by just Italská Street, will get civic amenities and comfortable access to the metro station and train connections. The first building is being prepared by Penta Real Estate specifically for Deloitte. Prospective tenants also show a great interest in the offices inside the second building, the façade of which will be visually different from the first one. It will be executed in the style of Dutch architecture, which will match the campus buildings of the University of Economics.
