We have launched an art competition for a new project in Prague 5. The subject of the competition is the design of an artwork for the facade of a new apartment building to be built near the entrance to the Anděl metro station. The aim is to accentuate the corner at the entrance to the Madeleine Albright pedestrian boulevard, which forms the main axis of the new district around Smíchov station. The work should add a new quality to a key public space in the area and attract the attention of people who live or work there.
The work should become part of a corner of a newly proposed building that will include micro-apartments and associated facilities, amenities and services. It will be Penta’s pilot project in this segment of the development. The artwork should highlight the architecture and identity of the new building, enriching it with contemporary art and bringing dynamism related to its function.
