As the great review “The New Waltrovka District” by Mr. Jiří Tourek, published in the new edition of the Stavba magazine (to be bought on www.stavbaweb.cz), says, “Waltrovka is probably the closest thing to what you can imagine as a possible appearance of new parts of Prague. It can be perceived as an attempt at a nice but ordinary city district with squares, streets etc. The reviewer realizes that to say about something that it is “ordinary” sounds like something almost defamatory nowadays. However, here it means “ordinary” in the old good sense of the word. The streets in Holešovice are ordinary, the houses in Vinohrady are ordinary, the same holds good for Vítězné náměstí etc. ”
