As part of SKY PARK by Zaha Hadid project construction, work is also ongoing on the renovation of the national treasure that is Jurkovič Heating Plant, where we recently completed the reconstruction of the most important part of its façade – facing bricks.
Part of the renovation of Jurkovič Heating Plant is also the construction of a building inside the heating plant which will provide new premises for flexible offices and the public. The construction of the indoor building has already begun, with the completion of the heating plant renovation works planned for the end of the third quarter of 2020. “Jurkovič Heating Plant will be a unique space in all of Bratislava. “We approached its renovation with maximum regard to its historical value and public use,” says Juraj Nevolník, Country Managing Director at Penta Real Estate Slovakia. “We will preserve its industrial character, for example, we are planning to conserve the original crane in the turbine hall and place it in a new location under the roof where it will dominate the space,” he adds.
The complex renovation of Jurkovič Heating Plant building will require an investment of more than € 11 million.
