The Medze project, developed by Penta Real Estate between Dúbravka and Karlova Ves, has reached an important milestone. After obtaining a final zoning decision, the project is now moving into the next stage of preparation, while also introducing, for the first time, its new identity and project website. Both steps build naturally on the project’s development to date and mark the beginning of its first communication phase towards the public.

The final zoning decision confirms the urban planning and technical concept for the entire site and allows the project to move forward with the next stages of the permitting process. It represents one of the key milestones in the preparation of a new urban district, which will take shape on a sloping site between Dúbravka, Karlova Ves and the surrounding woodland.

Medze is the result of an international architectural competition, won in 2020 by the PANTOGRAPH studio. The design responds to the site’s natural topography and uses it as one of its key urban planning principles. Through terracing, the connection of different elevation levels, and the layering of public, semi-public and private spaces, the design creates a district that feels naturally rooted in its setting and connects the urban environment with the surrounding landscape.

As the project moves into its next phase, Penta Real Estate is also introducing Medze’s new identity. It is built around the concept of A City in Balance, which captures the project’s core idea: to create urban living that naturally combines the accessibility of the city with a calmer setting, high-quality public spaces and close proximity to nature.

The new identity will communicate not only the architecture and residential offering, but above all the lifestyle the project is designed to create. It responds to changing expectations of urban living, where high-quality public spaces, community life and everyday contact with greenery are becoming increasingly important alongside public amenities and good accessibility.

The new brand identity is accompanied by the launch of the new website, www.medze.sk, the project’s main information channel. The website introduces visitors to the project’s philosophy, urban planning concept and the future character of the new district and will gradually provide further information on the individual stages of the project.

Following the zoning plan amendment, the project will be delivered in several stages and will provide approximately 820 apartments. The new district will also include retail space, public amenities, a kindergarten, community spaces, public areas and extensive greenery. More than 90% of parking spaces will be located underground, helping to create a higher-quality environment at ground level and support natural pedestrian movement throughout the site.

The unveiling of the new identity and the securing of the final zoning decision mark the beginning of the next stage of the Medze project. Sales for the first stage are planned to launch in early autumn 2026.
