Nová Terasa
Nová Terasa is a residential project in Košice next to the historical centre, which is bringing the latest modern architecture to the city.
The project was prepared in three phases, the first phase consisting of 165 units was already completed in 2013. The second phase of 216 residential units and 48 houses finished in 2017.
A prominent feature in the architecture of the first and second phases, designed by Vallo Sadovský Architects, is both a modern style and a diverse typology, with a community of residential blocks connected to each other by an atrium filled with plants and trees, intended as a relaxation zone for leisure use by unit residents.
Construction of Nová Terasa 3 was completed in 2020. Phase 3 added 225 new units in five residential blocks.
Nová Terasa has won several awards, including 2017 Building of the Year, and was nominated for many prestigious awards like CE-ZA-AR, the CIJ Awards Slovakia and the ARCH Award.
