Jurkovičova Tepláreň

The functionalist building of the Jurkovič Heating Plant is one of the last memories of the golden industrial era in Bratislava. Building was partially hit by bombing in 1944. In 2008 the building was declared a national cultural monument, so it has acquired an undeniable historical significance for Bratislava.

Many original elements were preserved, as for example a restored crane installed in the area, nationally protected coal hoppers, steel constructions, original window frames or original brick walls. The main architect of the conversion is Martin Paško and DF Creative Group, author of the renovation of the building envelope is studio PAMARCH, and the studio Perspektiv is the author of the fit-out of the leasable spaces.

The majority of the building is nowadays dedicated to BASE flexible offices. The BASE flexible offices were designed to create a dynamic workspace that will provide an opportunity for socialization to a wide range of user groups, from corporate clients and start-ups to freelancers. In the building you can also visit a restaurant, cafe and a gallery.
